Instituted in 1997, the Prize is Modena's homage of to one of its most illustrious sons. A man who has spread the values of our culinary tradition across the world and has dedicated his energies, expertise, professionalism and passion to his home town and the art of good cuisine and eating well.
In the name of Giorgio Fini, leading figures from Modena, renowned academics and historians choose in absolute freedom a world personality whose life, studies, work, and experience have been dedicated to 'food'.
This year the
prize will be presented to
Albeiro Vargas.
The jury will also make two special awards: to Giorgio Pinchiorri, owner
of the Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence,
and in memory of Prof.Gian
